Why Scandinavians should move to the Midwest USA

In the world of Scandinavia, it seems that they highly appreciate nature. Not only do they love nature but they know how to respect it. The Midwest in America is perfect in that sense.
We have about 4 months of a summer, 4 months of fall, and 4 months of winter. Speaking for mostly the central part of the Midwest, where I am, in Ohio, I feel like Scandinavians in general would absolutely love it here.  Oftentimes, in my research is Scandinavians I see that they vacation in Spain or move to Texas or Florida because they are so sick of not having any sunlight but then end up finding out that it's so much sunlight and so much heat , they quite literally get burnt out on it.
Here in Ohio you would have the perfect amount of sunlight, even some sunlight during the fall and winter seasons. Granted we don't have vacations for the entire part of summer but if you gathered up your paid leave from your jobs, you could still take quite a long vacation in the summer.
Along with the weather, the Midwest has amazing hiking trails, camping sites, and more outdoor activities than most of America that I have seen. Having traveled over to California, and down south to Mississippi, living in Texas for a while, and up in North Dakota as well, I can safely say that here in the midwest, just underneath the Great lakes, you have the perfect balance of everything you would ever need to live in America, but still have a lot of the Scandinavian luxuries that most people in Scandinavia want to have.
Fika ? Oh don't worry, there's a coffee shop every three blocks in most of Ohio. You can get fika in so many places it's not even funny. We even have an IKEA usually about an hour away at most. Not to mention here in the Dayton Ohio area and about an hour south we have a couple massive international grocery stores where you can get your imported Scandinavian food directly. But now in the day and age of everything being ordered online, all of the amazing Scandinavian stores would gladly ship things to you wherever you are.
So we've covered the weather, food, and Fika, What else can we cover? How about clothing, h&m stores are everywhere, not to mention if you want to get into the mood of the American clothing, we have too many stores in my opinion. So that's done and done.
The most major cities, about 4 to 5 of them throughout at least Ohio, there are Scandinavian societies or clubs scattered throughout the state. You can have monthly meetings with other Scandinavians and we have history museums, restaurants. In other parts of the country such as Chicago and Minnesota, they have entire towns dedicated to being Scandinavian.
Much of America, especially in the Midwest and up into Minnesota were shaped by Scandinavians in the early to mid 1800s. There is still much evidence of this and it's still a very prominent historical part of the Midwest that lives strong, but could use some refreshing.
Sure you don't have your free paid medical but it's paid through the company that you work for, so although the government doesn't pay for it it comes out of your paycheck regardless so you'll see a larger paycheck instead of it taxed from the government like it does in Scandinavia.
Personally, it's a little harder to find Scandinavian people here in the Midwest, I know there are a lot more near Minnesota which is approximately 10 hours of a drive away, but here Ohio it seems that either they are famously reclusive or they just don't live here. So maybe selfishly I'm hoping that more scandinavians will live in Ohio soon, although I do plan a moving to Scandinavia myself in 12 years.
Here's a good selling point for all Scandinavians moving to the Midwest- you can buy alcohol in about 20 different types of stores at any time of the day, any day of the week, all day. Sure I don't want to promote alcoholism but I know that in Scandinavia it's extremely high taxed and hard to get sometimes at certain days or times. The taxes aren't any different on alcohol here nor do you have to worry about it being as restricted as long as you are 21.
So the next time you have a friend family member or acquaintance, or possibly even yourself thinking about moving to the US, I would highly recommend Ohio. Most specifically the Dayton Ohio area.
