The destination of humanity
Welcome to my Existential crisis while I overthink everything.
Rough breakdown of history in my brain
From the dawn of man to the 1800s, people had to be so strong and sturdy and resilient against diseases, famine, animals, weather, and other people. You had to worry about sleeping in a log cabin, tent, cave or mud house with barely any heat or padding on your bed and possibly getting murdered by natives, animals or a conflict from another Nation. You had to know how to grow your own food, make your own medicine, hunt your own animals, be resourceful and walk through blizzards and sleep and live through horrible depressing moments in your life with no fake feelings therapy. There was no entertainment like we have now, our minds had to be occupied surviving. Hierarchies were being created.
1800s to the 1980s was just all creating, making, discovering, electricity, cars, lands, laws, it's like a weird moment between time where people were understanding law and not being able to just murder someone you don't like. Masculinity was Strong and leading, femininity was strong and leading on the other side. It was a beautiful balance, families were flourishing and making a minimum of four children probably more than that. There must have been so much hope, seeing things grow and develop, the industry is rising, businesses coming out of nowhere and people becoming wealthier and starting to reign over the lower class. Hierarchies were being developed in a business way. The amount of wars in this era that changed the course of humanity are insane. The explosion of music and artists and new kinds of sounds coming out, Elvis, Frank Sinatra, the celebrities like Marilyn Monroe and John Wayne.
Now, after the internet, what are the big accomplishments? No more lands being discovered, no massive amazing inventions no life-changing historical events. Now it's just like a stagnant era, everything has really been developed and found, it's like we're fine-tuning all of these things. Leaders are corrupt, religion seems to be a scam, hierarchies are only used to gain money, and kids are getting weaker and less intellectual with the internet and phones. Humanity in general is slowly turning into those blobs from the movie Wall-E. Now the celebrities are just gross pedophiles and not even near the spectrum of a James Dean, it's like we've hit our peak but what happens after that?
As we evolve like we are, how do we try to stay strong and amazing like our ancestors did? How do we ensure that we don't become such a weak, spineless, mouth breathing, overweight, dumb species that eventually go extinct. The ancestors of our time would run circles around us physically and intellectually. There's no more Plato, there's no more "Isaac Newton's", or discovery of flight, we're just here now. We have leaders trying to tell us that we are actually changing the course of evolution of this planet, when there was an ice age and everything melted at one point and it's a 15 ,000 year rotation.
All the most amazing spectacles are in museums or spectated in a museum-like way. The things we create now won't be in museums because they're not amazing. What kind of legacy are we leaving behind 500 years from now?
It's good people, that's All I can think of. That's all we can do is raise amazing children that understand everything that's In the world and the information that is hidden from them. We can attempt to help our kids understand at least a small degree of every: religion, politic, nation, country, law, animal, landscape, dance, skin colors, language, building structure, historical footnote list, academics, food types, and discern between right and wrong.
If you can zoom out of this planet, and look at it in the palm of your hand, quickly filing through every single event that's ever happened on Earth, will you be able to find a way to be something spectacular for your ancestors to see?
Please accept that challenge
